School of the Month Award
School of the Month
Each month we select a school to benefit from our School of the Month scheme. If customers shopping online don't have children at school, or a local school that they support, they can choose to donate their vouchers to a school that we feel could really benefit from more School Link vouchers to put to good use in their classrooms or library. Last month Gillamoor Primary School received £250 of vouchers through customers choosing to help in this way.
School Link is passionate about encouraging children to get more out of reading, so we'd love to hear from any schools who feel that they would benefit from being School of the Month.

About this month's school:
This month we have decided to award the title of School Link School of the Month to St Mary Magdalen's Primary School
St Mary Magdalen's Primary School and Nursery does some amazing work in a multicultural community, helping children to flourish both academically and socially. After reading Katie Fryer's nomination letter we were certain that this excellent school was highly deserving of the School of the Month title.
I am an active volunteer in the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of St Mary Magdalen's Primary School and Nursery in Brighton. Renowned for its diversity and multi-culturalism the school is full of beautiful and talented children from all walks of life living all over Brighton and Hove and the surrounding areas.
Unlike PTAs in other schools that can raise vast amounts of money quickly, our fundraising is constrained by the small size of our school (240 children) and the fact that most of the children come from low income families. Every bit of help we receive, like the 10% rebate on Schoollink book orders, makes a significant difference to our children.
The school places great importance on reading and want each of our kids to acquire a love of books. But we are limited by resources both within the school and at home. This year we will (thanks to the great deals at Schoollink) be using funds raised by the PTA to give each child a book as a Christmas present and we plan to make this an annual event.
I do very much hope that you would consider our wonderful school, as school of the month. Please make a real difference to the children of St Mary Magdalen's School.
